Kayaking with Dolphins in Tenerife: Real Palm-Mar Tour Guide (2026)

My real-life driving experience (Updated April , 2026)

Hi, I'm Marco, a professional kayak guide in Palm-Mar for 7 years. I love the Canary Islands with all my heart: every morning I head out on the water with my guests, I still feel as excited as I did on the first day. After hundreds of tours on this volcanic coast, I know exactly what makes an excursion unforgettable... and what can be disappointing. If you're looking for a kayaking experience far from the crowds of the big ports, peaceful, environmentally friendly, and with a good chance of encountering dolphins and turtles, you've come to the right place.

Where we start: Playa La Arenita, Palm-Mar

We set off directly from the small La Arenita beach in Palm-Mar, just a few minutes' walk from the main beach.

This area is very close to the Malpaís de La Rasca marine reserve, a protected area where the seabed is teeming with life. No noisy motorboats, no crowds of tourists: just us, the sea, and the volcanic coast.

Who is this tour suitable for?

Beginners and families People of all ages (5-6 years old and up, depending on their condition)

Those looking for a relaxed experience, not a paddling competition

The level of effort is medium-low.

If you've never kayaked before, I'll teach you everything step by step. I always recommend wearing water shoes because La Arenita beach is rocky.

My approach: total respect for the sea

During all tours, we always keep our distance from the animals; we don't chase or touch them. We follow the rules of the protected area because we want these dolphins and turtles to continue to thrive, even in 10 years.
